He’s been on your gout tablets for 6 weeks now & his uric acid reading has dropped from 50 to 42.As you can imagine George & his Doc are really happy & if the drop continues with the pills, he should be in the low 30’s, next check - up in 2 months time." Long time customers, Auckland
Gout is a type of arthritis (inflammation of a joint) and is relatively common, especially amongst men.
An attack of gout (acute gout) usually happens at night or early morning. It can strike very quickly and severely, without warning. The most common place to get gout is a big toe. It may also affect one or more joints of the hands, knees, ankles and/or feet.
Gout is a life-long condition that requires long-term management. It can be controlled by eating the right diet and taking a natural supplement like our High Potency Gout Formula.
What causes Gout?
Gout is caused by a substance called uric acid. Uric acid is a chemical naturally made in our bodies after we digest the protein in foods we eat. If our kidneys do not remove enough, or if too much is produced, then uric acid levels begin to build-up in the body.
In people who get gout, uric acid builds up over many years, resulting in higher than normal levels. This may lead to uric acid crystals forming in the joints. These crystals can cause inflammation in the joints, leading to an attack of gout.
Gout may be brought on by;
Genetic (runs in the family)
Taking certain medicines, such as aspirin
Eating large amounts of foods rich in purines (proteins ) such as shellfish, wild game, organ meat like liver, kidney and tripe
Alcohol - in high quantities
High blood pressure
Signs and Symptoms
Joints become very painful and sensitive to touch. Even the weight of a bed sheet may be too much. The skin over the joints may feel hot and tight, and look red, shiny and swollen. You may also feel unwell or lose your appetite.
Are there any natural options for Gout?
For centuries, natural herbs and plant extracts have been successfully used in Asia and Europe for treating gout. Recent clinical research confirmed that these plants do have natural compounds that lower uric acid in blood and expel it from the body. These scientific studies led to the formulation of Abeeco™ High Potency Gout Formula.
